A new US edition of Christmas Streetmy novelty book beautifully illustrated by Ingela P Arrhenius, is published today by the Nosy Crow imprint of Candlewick Press.

Like its predecessor Alphabet Street, the book features a street of buildings with large flaps that open to reveal animal occupants engaged in activities described by an alphabetical rhyming text – however the occupants of this book are all celebrating Christmas and the festive season.

Here’s a video from Candlewick Press showcasing the new US edition.

The UK edition has had some smashing reviews including these from Scottish Book Trust and The I newspaper.

“An adorable alphabet journey through all the magical, festive sights of Christmas Street. Children are bound to delight in the lift-the-flaps, which reveal colourful and Christmassy images on every page, and you’ll love cosying up with them too.”

“This festive rhyme is an ABC and lift-the-flap book all in one. Tiny hands will find the large panels easy to navigate, and bright simple images will delight both parents and child over and over again.”
Marianne Levy, THE I

And the book has just been shortlisted for the Children’s Trade 0 to 8 Years category of the British Book Design and Production Awards 2022.
