I’ve stopped taking bookings for in-person school visits for the foreseeable future but am still available for virtual school visits and for events at libraries, festivals and other literary venues.
I am available for in-person school visits to primary schools within the area of the East Midlands shown on the map above and for virtual school visits to schools further afield.
Although I have written some chapter books and also create novelty books, most of my books are picture books and my school sessions are centred on these.
A typical school visit day consists of up to four class sessions with optional assembly and book signing. My standard class sessions range from simple readings with reception classes to longer sessions that involve activities.

My current fees for school visits are £540 for a full day, £360 for a half day or £180 for a single session (not exceeding an hour) plus travel expenses* and VAT.
Small Schools’ Discount: I offer a reduced rate of £450 for a full day, £300 for a half day (plus travel expenses* and VAT) to state schools whose rolls are listed as 100 pupils or less on the Ofsted web site at the time of booking.

Dispatch & Delivery
Books will be sent by Evri and should take 2–4 working days to arrive after dispatch. I’m generally able to dispatch orders within two working days of receiving them, but if I’m away from home, books will not be signed and dispatched until my return. If you place an order while I’m away for more than a week, you should receive an email telling you when the order will be dispatched and giving you the option to cancel and receive a full refund.
