I’ve just received the July 2021 – June 2022 UK library loans figures for my books, courtesy of the Public Lending Right (PLR) scheme. Libraries were closed for many weeks during this period due to Covid-19 so, as was the case last year, the number of loans are significantly down on pre-covid years. However I’m pleased to say that many of my books were still borrowed. 

After entering the top 5 at number 3 last year, Cleopatra Bones and the Golden Chimpanzee, illustrated by Ed Eaves, is now my most borrowed book from UK libraries.  Last year’s number 1, How the Borks Became: An Adventure in Evolution, has dropped to number 2 with  A Spot of Bother  and  A Present for Rosy at 3 and 4. And Prince Ribbit re-enters the top 5 at number 5.
